About 1v1 LOL

1v1 LOL (written 1v1.LOL by its developer, JustPlay.LOL) is a competitive third-person shooter whose whole identity is the two things you do at once: build and shoot. You farm wood, brick and steel with a pickaxe, throw up a ramp to take the high ground, and switch to a weapon in the same breath. The player who can do both faster wins the duel — which is why a match is decided in seconds rather than minutes.

Every mode is a variation on that one skill. Box Fight drops two players into a small arena with materials already in hand. Build Fight takes the guns away for a while so you learn placement and editing under pressure. Zone Wars shrinks a storm circle around a handful of players, and Battle Royale plays the full loot-and-last-one-standing format. There is also Party mode for private rooms and a practice range for warming up your aim.

How to Play 1v1 LOL

  1. Press Play above and let the WebGL build load — a few seconds the first time.
  2. Pick a mode. Box Fight is the fastest way in; Build Fight teaches placement.
  3. Swing the pickaxe at trees, walls and cars to bank materials.
  4. Place a ramp and a wall to climb above your opponent — height wins nearly every duel.
  5. Switch to a weapon mid-build and take the shot before they finish their ramp.

Tips that change your win rate

  • Never fight from below. If you are under someone, ramp sideways rather than straight up — a ramp placed into their line of fire is free damage.
  • Wall first, then ramp. The wall buys the half-second the ramp needs. Reversing the order is the most common way beginners die.
  • Keep 500+ materials. Running dry mid-duel loses the fight before the shooting starts. Farm between engagements, not during them.
  • Learn one weapon. Shotgun for close boxes, AR for mid-range. Swapping constantly costs more time than the damage it gains.

Frequently asked questions

Is 1v1.LOL free to play here?

Yes. The game runs in the browser, costs nothing and needs no account. Press Play and the match loads in a few seconds.

Do I need to download or install anything?

No. 1v1.LOL is a WebGL build, so it runs inside the page like a video. Any modern browser on desktop, Chromebook or phone can run it.

What are the controls?

WASD moves, mouse aims and fires, Space jumps. Q, F, C and V drop a wall, floor, ramp and roof; 1–5 switch weapons; G swings the pickaxe to farm materials.

Which mode should I start with?

Box Fight. It puts you straight into a small arena with materials already in hand, which is the fastest way to learn build-and-edit without a long drop and loot phase.

Can I play 1v1.LOL against a friend?

Yes. Use Party mode to create a room and share the code, or pick 2v2 and queue together. Everything is matched online — no local split-screen.

Why is the game running slowly?

Close other tabs, and if your browser has hardware acceleration disabled turn it back on — WebGL falls back to software rendering without it, which halves the frame rate.

Does 1v1.LOL work on a Chromebook?

Yes. A Chromebook runs the same WebGL build a desktop does, and the school-issue models handle it at a steady frame rate. Play in fullscreen and close other tabs if the frame rate dips.

Can I play 1v1.LOL on a phone or tablet?

Yes. The browser build detects touch and draws an on-screen stick, fire button and build buttons. Aim is harder than with a mouse, so start in Box Fight rather than battle royale.

What is the difference between 1v1.LOL and 2v2?

2v2 is the same engine with teams of two: you build for a partner as well as yourself, so pushes are slower and cover matters more. Use the 1v1 / 2v2 switch above the player to move between them.

Does my progress and my skin carry over?

Progress lives on the developer’s account, not on this site. Sign in with Google inside the game and your level, LOL Pass and unlocked skins follow you to any device; play as a guest and they stay in that browser only.

Is 1v1.LOL the same game as Fortnite?

No. It borrows the build-and-shoot idea and strips everything else away — no loot rarity to learn, no long drop, no download. A match starts in seconds, which is why it is used as a warm-up and an aim trainer.

How do I get better at building?

Spend ten minutes a day in Build Fight or the practice range doing one drill: wall, ramp, edit, repeat, until your hands do it without the keys. Aim training helps far less than build muscle memory at the start.

Is it safe to play here — do I need an account?

No account is needed and nothing is installed: the game is loaded straight from the developer’s own servers into the page. Signing in with Google is optional and only saves your progress.

Why can I not find a match?

Matchmaking picks a region from your connection. If a mode is empty, switch region in the settings cog or pick a busier mode — Box Fight and Battle Royale fill fastest at any hour.
