About Build Royale

Build Royale takes the battle royale formula and flattens it into a top-down 2D arena — then keeps the one mechanic that makes the genre interesting: building. You loot, you rotate ahead of the closing circle, and when a fight starts you throw up walls to control the angle you are shot from.

Because it is 2D, the game runs on almost anything, and matches are short enough that a bad drop costs you a couple of minutes rather than twenty. Up to a hundred players share a map, with weapons, materials and shields scattered across buildings and terrain.

How to play Build Royale

Drop somewhere quiet on your first few games. Landing hot in a 2D battle royale is even less forgiving than in 3D — everyone sees everyone.
Loot a weapon and a shield before you look for a fight. Shields are the difference between surviving one mistake and none.
Harvest materials from trees and structures as you rotate; you will not have time once the circle tightens.
Build a wall between you and the shooter the moment you take damage, then reposition — not the other way round.

Tips for Build Royale

Corners are cover. In a top-down game you can break line of sight by moving one tile, which is faster than building.
Do not fight in the open field between buildings — there is nothing to build against and no cover to fall back to.
Keep at least one wall of materials in reserve for the final circle; endgames here are decided by who can still block.
Third-party aggressively. Two players fighting in 2D are both fully visible and both distracted.
